January 2017: New Parabolic rolling line

VDL Weweler-Colaert NV has finished the installation of a new STATE OF THE ART parabolic rolling line in its production facility in Poperinge (Belgium).

The new production line is a full automatic facility, in which robots handle the steel  through an extended number of different operations. The combination of several stages of the production into one process, will result in energy saving , cost reduction and quality improvement.

This investment is totally in line with the philosophy of the VDL Group: “Increase the competitiveness of Western European companies in order to face low-wage countries through investments in state of the art and high-tech automated solutions.”
